Distortion, also known as “morph” in HUAXINSI articles and blogs, is sometimes referred to as “deformation” or “Distortion.” In these articles or blogs, the term “Distortion” is used neutrally and impartially to describe the Creator’s creation – its transformation or deformation without employing the meaning of positive or negative.
In “The Law of One“, the term “Distortion” appears most frequently and is widely used. Deformation or transformation is also referred to as “morph.” The author believes that the translators of “The Law of One” intentionally chose more neutral descriptions rather than negative ones such as “Distortion,” “aberration,” or “twisting.” However, a close friend and practitioner of mine who is a lawyer pointed out that in Chinese, “变貌” easily evokes associations with changes in appearance or form, rather than overall transformations. Therefore, when translating “Distortion,” using “变形/形变” may be more accurate. This is especially relevant to humans in the material world, as we humans tend to focus more on appearances rather than internal or essential aspects.
Distortion vs. Transformation
Taking the communication process from the form of thought/mind-to-mind transfer to language as an example, imagine that communication between different densities is, in fact, a process of transformation or Distortion. “Distortion” is more commonly used in the context of universal creation. Hence, it entails not just changes in appearance but also variations in form, content, meaning, and even fundamental and structural alterations, ranging from within to without, and potentially affecting the entirety on both small and large scales. Consequently, we can certainly understand “Distortion” as a process of Distortion or deformation. However, it is worth noting that it remains connected to The Source – it is still light. Perhaps “Distortion,” “twisting,” or “transformation, mutation or variation” may be closer translations to the original intent. Regardless, translation itself is a “Distortion,” it is an art with no definitive conclusion. In the end, it is left to the readers to interpret and appreciate. Understanding it is what matters!
The smaller the deformation, the less the degree of Distortion or twisting, and vice versa.
In “The Law of One,” the Creator’s first Distortion in the creation of the universe is “free will”; the second Distortion is “love”; and the third Distortion is “light.”
