Life is like a theatrical play, and each person is an actor in the play. The biggest difference between the stage of life and a theater stage is that in real life when you step into the theater, you may be just an audience member, there to appreciate other people’s performances. But at this stage of life, each and every One of us is an actor, playing different roles.
Ups and Downs on the Stage
In a theatrical play, the script and roles are decided by investors and directors. In this stage of life, we can play three roles in One: the writer, director, and actor. We can decide the comedy or tragedy, the characters and lines, and how we interpret and portray the roles we play. Unless you are willing to let others decide for you.
The plot of a theatrical play, whether comedy or tragedy, is usually condensed. But at this stage of life, all kinds of comedic and tragic moments unfold in full length, unless under special circumstances. A person must portray various roles from childhood to old age, and there are plays within the play… We are the protagonists of our own life stages. However, few of us realize that playing our roles well is the only thing we need to do in our lives.
Small and Large Stages
On the surface of our planet, there are hundreds of countries. These countries are made up of different provinces/states, cities, counties, districts, and countless families. They are like numerous large, medium, and small stages. Each and every One of us is performing our own life on these stages.
Under the influence of vanity, most of us have, to some extent, dreamed of becoming the main character on a larger stage, shining under the spotlight. Some of us, influenced by an inflated self-consciousness, may think that others’ acting skills are inferior and wish to replace them. Envy and jealousy are also the domain of some people. Of course, there are many who are content with their current roles and willingly play supporting characters. There are also some who have no interest in playing any role, not even being an audience member. At this stage of life, all kinds of people exist. Learn more…>
Stage of Life
Very few of us understand that before each of us is born, we have already selected our skin color, place of birth, parents, and a series of “arrangements” according to our Soul Contract, just like pre-selecting the script we like and the roles we play. Of course, we can also modify the pre-determined script based on free will and add some characters and scenes… in other words, to fulfill our destinies before we can change them. Learn more…>
Although individuals and families form the smallest stage, they are actually the most important stages in our lives. Just imagine, if we cannot perform our roles well on our own small stage, how can we expect to excel on a larger stage?
Understanding the roles we play and performing them well is the only thing we need to do in our lives. The roles we play are not meant to please the audience (to care about others’ opinions), but to cultivate ourselves. The ancient sages taught: “Cultivate oneself, regulate the family, govern the state, and bring peace to the world“. Pay attention to the order in which they are listed, starting from the self as the center, from the inside out, from small to large, and gradually expanding. The order of discipline of the personality is also the same. Learn more…>
Others’ (makeup/performance) is Basically Irrelevant to You
In real life, people often focus excessively on others’ performances and neglect self-awareness. Unconsciously, we project ourselves into others’ roles and even try to replace their performances. As audience members, we should maintain an appreciative attitude from the audience’s perspective. In fact, on the stage of life, others’ “roles” and the quality of their “acting” have nothing to do with you. At least, it has nothing to do with you until you truly understand yourself. At present, the only thing you need to do is to learn how to “embrace your role and portray yourself” on the stage of your own life. Your stage can be as small as a family or as large as a country. Behind the Roles
In this stage of life, each person plays a unique role, and the script and storyline have already been determined. It is called the “Soul Contract“. Unlike stage plays, performances and dialogues on the stage of life are required to be improvised based on free will. Our third-Density stage (planet) is a stage of “closed-book examination“. Refer to “The Universe” and the “Truth Behind Life” to learn more.
Play within the Play
The storyline on the stage of life is more dramatic than a stage play. It not only has a main plot intertwining with your life story—your destiny but also contains joys and sorrows, ups and downs, plays within the play, and the twists and turns of life. Familiar scenes are constantly replayed… with heightened tragedies and intensified joys, separations and reunions, human disasters, and natural catastrophes as catalysts, endlessly unfolding. You are free to choose the plot and the roles, and you can rewrite and continue the story at any time… Learn more >
Protagonists and Supporting Roles
Whether you realize it or not, you are the protagonist on the stage of your own life. Although occasionally, you may play a supporting role, making cameo appearances in other people’s stage plays. Learn more…
Meaning of Life
The meaning of life lies not in superficial success or failure, wealth or poverty, but in understanding oneself. Because a person’s essence is the soul, not just a physical body. We are a mind/body/Spirit Complex. Therefore, understanding the essence of the world and the reality of life is our homework; being aware of the existence of veils, perceiving the wonders of the veils, and unveiling them is the only thing we need to do. Success Cannot Always Be Replicated
The success of a stage play involves many elements. Apart from the script and the dedication of the director and actors, the resonance from the audience is crucial. It is closely related to language, culture, education, religion, and political background. The success of a stage play in location A may not be replicated in location B. This is especially true due to differences in people’s ways of thinking and values, resulting in variations in consciousness. The same play can evoke different resonances. Similarly, the success of political ideologies and economic models in One country may not be replicated on another piece of land.
Success can only be replicated when the general consciousness of people reaches a similar or even identical level. This applies to individuals as well as collectives. The principles of theatrical life apply to individuals and collectives alike, from individuals to nations. Is it not similar to “governing a great country is like cooking a small fish” — different paths leading to the same goal?
The prologue of the stage of life has already begun…
Dear readers, the prologue of your own stage of life has already begun… However, have you sincerely contemplated the role you play? How much do you truly understand about “the self”? Learn more…>
Borrowing a poetic passage from a friend, with slight modifications, to conclude this chapter:
We have learned too many abilities to explore the external world,
Yet we have neglected communication with our inner world,
We constantly conquer the external world,
But fail to understand the essence of ourselves,
Thus,
Time passes in pursuit,
And the soul becomes lost in desires…
The truth is everywhere, only seek, you should find!
