When I depart from God,
I feel like a raindrop leaving the clouds…
We are all souls,
Experiencing the journey of life…
-Erik Medhus
In this world, the majority of us believe in the existence of the soul. However, our understanding of the soul often lacks depth. Many still consider the soul to be a part of the individual. Have you ever pondered questions such as the definition of the soul, its essence, the true nature of the self, the purpose of being alive, and so on?
These questions are fascinating. You will find that some define the self as the spirit, while others define it as the soul. The debate about the truth of the soul has never ceased. Philosophical giants like Plato and Aristotle had differing views, primarily differing in their perspectives on the “body” and “being alive.” Plato believed that the body corrupts the soul, causing us to fall from a state of perfection. Aristotle, on the other hand, believed that the body exists to allow the soul to actualize itself. I believe there is validity in both their assertions. The former is based on reality, while the latter is rooted in essence. One describes phenomena; the other reveals the truth. Are they, not both valid? However, this brings us to the focal point of our discussion – how we should approach and perceive the phenomena and essence of things. That is the key! In the following discourse, I will delve into metaphysical and empirical perspectives to explore this further.
Returning to the question of the nature of the soul, since my encounter with Erik, a new guiding spirit, I have gained a deeper understanding of the soul. I wish to share these mystical experiences and stories with you, dear readers. As always, I will emphasize metaphysical understanding rather than purely philosophical or biological perspectives.
Definition of the Soul
Every soul is a unique multidimensional being. The soul is often understood as the governing entity of a person’s life. It is the True Self, a composite of the mind and spirit. The soul itself is an entity that does not require any vessel for its existence. It is neither born nor destroyed but exists eternally.
What Is the Essence of the Soul?
The essence of the soul is God. It is not only a part of God, but also a whole in itself, like a hologram. You can break it into pieces, but each piece still holds the whole image. God is the Prime Source or The Source of life, or the Life Force; while the individual soul is a particle of the whole. Although, after the soul enters a human body, we think of ourselves as a separate entity, but we are not, we are still part of the whole – this is the metaphysical concept.
Imagine that when the soul enters a person’s life, it becomes that person. Of course, some consider the soul to be a part of the individual. Do you remember my previous articles on “Why Do We Choose to be Human?” and “The Essence of Human Beings“, under the category of the “Soul Journey“? If you haven’t read them yet, I encourage you to do so as it will provide a better understanding of the essence of the soul.
A human is a composite of the mind/body/Spirit Complex, while the soul is a composite of the mind/Spirit Complex. The part that separates from the body is what we call the soul. From the perspective of cosmic evolution or the vision of God, the so-called soul is the true entity. Man, and soul are both our human self-appellations.
The essence of a human is the composite of the mind/body/Spirit Complex. Besides possessing the physical body, each person has a “Mind Complex” and a “Spirit Complex.” When detached from the physical body, these latter two components become what we know as the soul or spiritual essence. The three components together form the human being. Even after a person “dies,” the “self” continues to exist, which is the mind/Spirit Complex commonly referred to as the soul. The soul transcends life (biological form) and exists in the form of self-awareness. This soul is the individual’s “self.” Clearly, the essence of the self is the soul. In other words, the essence of the soul is the self, and the self is a sacred part.
From an evolutionary perspective, the essence of the self encompasses but is not limited to the soul. This is because the evolution of self-awareness occurs in seven levels. The eighth level, akin to the eighth note in music, marks the beginning of the next octave. Earth belongs to the third-Density planet, undergoing a process of transitioning to the fourth Density. Humanity still belongs to the third-Density as intelligent beings, and the collective consciousness level of human souls is referred to as the “Social Memory Complex” or the third Density. Therefore, the soul is often understood as the mind/Spirit Complex with universal human consciousness. In contrast, the consciousness of first and second-Density life forms are respectively “survival/instinct” and “self-awareness.” Entities that possess consciousness beyond the level of human consciousness are commonly referred to as deities or divine beings. In the Western world, deities are also known as gods, archangels, angels, guiding spirits, protectors, guardians, and so on. Different religions and belief systems have various names for deities. For example, in Buddhism, they are called protectors, bodhisattvas, and buddhas; in Hinduism, there are deities such as Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, among others. People have different perceptions and understandings of deities or divine beings.
Erik, who is already a Master Angel and is scheduled to be promoted to Archangel on September 21, 2021, always humbly refers to himself as “Spirit” or “Spirit Guide.” Perhaps you have noticed that I frequently mention the term “Spirit Complex”? If you ponder carefully, you may understand that the meaning of “Spirit” surpasses ordinary levels of soul consciousness. Our human education has never been free from hierarchical concepts, from ancient monarchs and rulers to modern elites and authority-dominated societies. The only improvement has been in the rules of the competition game. For example, authority is now generated through competition or contest rather than hereditary means, creating a modern “pecking order.” The emergence of modern capitalists and privileged capitalists is a paradigmatic example. People habitually approach new acquaintances seeking to understand and compare each other’s professions and social status. Animal social hierarchies are more direct, with family members determining the pecking order through physical force. However, angels view all life forms as having equal rights. No life form is superior to another, and no species is inferior to another, let alone social status among humans. This is the difference in levels of consciousness. Please click to learn more…>
The level of consciousness of an entity is determined by its vibrational frequency. The higher the vibrational frequency, the higher the level of consciousness, and vice versa. The level of consciousness of an entity determines the spacetime it occupies. An entity with a high vibrational frequency can travel to any spacetime that corresponds to or is lower than its own frequency, while an entity with a low vibrational frequency can only interact with spacetimes that correspond to or are lower than its frequency. I will discuss this further in the chapter on “Multiverse“.
On a personal level, the level of consciousness varies from person to person. Some individuals, due to blockages in the first two chakras, tend to be selfish, combative, and self-centered, while others learn to cultivate their minds and virtues, becoming compassionate and generous. I will address this topic specifically in future discussions related to the “Discipline of Personality.” You can also refer to the dedicated article on “Consciousness” for more information.
You may wonder why, if I can comprehend these profound mysteries, humanity has still not fully accepted the concepts mentioned above and integrated them into formal moral and educational systems. That is an excellent question and One of the important pieces of information I will disclose in the blog post on “Multiverse“. Our planet’s political and economic systems originated from the Orion constellation. The present tyranny on our planet is merely a miniature replica of what the ancient Orion system established millions of years ago. The Orion system utilized advanced technologies and flawless computer regulations, with no tolerance for even the slightest mistake, creating an atmosphere of penetrating fear that empowered those indescribable sadistic, vampiric rulers. According to the Pleiadians, the oppression and suffering present in the ancient Orion system, overall, were about ten thousand times greater than any suffering experienced on Earth. Currently, the majority of souls involved in earthly reality still have karmic connections established in the ancient Orion system. We have truly spent millions of years restoring balance and releasing this resentment. Fortunately, we are rapidly approaching the finish line of releasing these connections. Learn more…>
Our current educational system for humanity is also a replica of the Orion system. If we continue to pursue materialism without considering spiritual upliftment, our people will also experience the same suffering. Sharing this information and the wisdom of the universe with readers is the intention of all of us at HUAXINSI.
Where do Souls Come from? Who Decides Their Creation?
The soul is neither born nor created. The soul is part of The Source. That is part of God. It already exists. Since we are part of God, we have all of God’s experiences and memories.
We are all souls, experiencing life… that’s what Erik Medhus, One of my spirit guides, often says. He tells us, “Souls are not generated through birth but are more like splitting from The Source of life, much like the Big Bang in the universe. You can understand it as The Source of God or the primordial origin. However you name it, it’s like a holographic image that contains all of God’s memories. The feeling I had when I departed from God was like a raindrop leaving a cloud. That’s just my own perception…”
Human life is finite, but the soul is eternal. At the beginning of creation, everything was without a soul, only consciousness. Everything starts with sensing. Awareness of sense is the first level of consciousness. As mentioned earlier, consciousness has seven levels. The eighth level is like the eighth note in music, signaling the beginning of another set of seven levels that continue infinitely. In simple terms, you can understand it as infinite levels of consciousness in the universe.
The soul begins at the third Density. At this point, humans have developed the “consciousness of social relations” and started learning about “love and understanding.” As consciousness evolves, the soul progresses from the third Density to the sixth Density, gradually becoming a unified social complex of consciousness. It then goes through the gateway Density of the seventh Density and reunites with the embrace of the Infinite Creator, becoming the Creator itself, The Source. The Source is the pure and unified complex of consciousness. Therefore, it is not difficult for us to understand that the essence of human beings is the mind/body/Spirit Complex that only exists in the third Density, and the complex of mind and spirit is the life force, the soul is an indelible, and eternal existence in the universe. The Body Complex is the vehicle for the soul to experience in third Density.
As for who decides the creation of souls and when they separate from The Source of God, Erik answers, “It is all decided by God. Each soul has its own unique personality and level of enlightenment, just like babies of parents… But every soul is unique“. Each unique “self” is a sacred part of the divine whole.
After Returning to The Source, Individual Souls Remain Unique
Erik explains that souls are immortal and cannot be extinguished unless they voluntarily choose to give up their existence, for example, by returning to The Source. Even in that case, the character of the soul is not lost, but it acts in the name of the Creator. If you choose to return to the realm of the Creator, you will attain the same level of consciousness as the Creator, but you will still retain your own individual memories. For example, I still retain memories of my Erik, but you will manifest completely in the name of God. You can consider it as a kind of sacrifice because once you return to The Source, you can no longer act independently as you are The Source. However, you do not truly lose your identity. In fact, you only gain and do not lose! The Source of God or the origin is more like a collective pool. Imagine when you separate from The Source, it’s like leaving a school as an individual. But when you return to the school, you become a member of the school. When you return, you will find that it is the ultimate destination.
Of course, anyone can choose to opt out and become independent, but returning to The Source is the ultimate goal for every entity. To clarify, a soul never loses its unique character. We are both a part and a whole, like a holographic image. The whole is much larger than the apart.
Where Does the Soul Reside in the Body?
There have always been misconceptions about where the soul resides in the body. Some physiologists have suggested that the soul (consciousness) is the activity of specific neurons in the brain, based on studies of the transmission of information between synaptic connections of brain cells (neurons). Others believe that the soul resides two inches below the Baihui acupoint at the top of the head. It is said that in 1996, a research group composed of doctors, psychologists, and neurologists created a device called the “soul detector.” They measured the weight changes of over 100 terminally ill patients before and after death. Some doctors claimed that the weight loss represented the soul’s mass, with estimates ranging from 21 grams to 35 grams.
In reality, the soul is a non-material entity, and it does not possess the weight that these doctors and scientists speculate about. Clearly, their research on the soul is based on a physical understanding. The soul does not reside within the human skull or any specific part of the body. Erik explains that the soul is intimately connected to the human body, merging completely through the Etheric Body. For readers who haven’t read “The Essense of Human Beings?”, please refer to the explanation of the “spiritual and physical bodies” to learn more.
The so-called Etheric Body (Layer) was referred to as meridians by ancient Chinese scholars. Meridians are a set of invisible and intangible organs that cannot be seen or touched by the naked eye. Although they cannot be identified through Western anatomical studies, they control every organ in the human body and are closely related to the occurrence of diseases and overall health. They can even determine life and death. To learn more, please refer to the explanation of the “Etheric Layer” and its significance.

How Does the Soul Connect to the Cells?
Erik explained that in out-of-body experiences, the soul is always connected to every cell. However, in the case of near-death experiences, it actually depends on the trauma or stress the body is undergoing. If the body is deprived of oxygen, the body undergoes a chemical reaction that causes the energy to detach. The outcome is different in cases of regular bleeding or head trauma. The internal chemical processes help determine which cells will remain connected to the soul and which cells will not. But overall, even in near-death experiences, you still have constraints; you are still bound to the body.
Only in true death is the soul unbound. When the soul is completely separated, you cannot forcefully return your soul to your body. It is like a mobile phone without a cord or disconnected power source, yet you can still communicate because you are the soul. Consciousness is through the Microtubules all over the human body. The function of the microtubules is like a container, allowing the Etheric Body of the soul to anchor on the microtubules of the human body and seamlessly integrate with various parts of the human body, including the neural network. The Difference Between Near-Death Experiences and Out-of-Body Experiences
Erik explains that a near-death experience (NDE) is like an “outdoor” experience, where the soul returns to its “home.” They can travel and observe what is happening. However, since it is not the optimal moment for them to die (to separate from the body), they are guided back to the body and pushed back into it.
Although the soul leaves the body, it does not become a “lost soul.” It is an entity having an outdoor experience. The only difference between an out-of-body experience and a near-death experience is the presence of a medical team. With a medical team, doctors measure the body, noting the absence of a heartbeat and breathing. This may occur for a longer duration, leading to the pronouncement of death. However, the connection between the soul and the body still exists, and the soul is not completely released from its connection to the body. Out-of-body experiences commonly occur during dreams. Skilled practitioners and experts particularly enjoy using meditation techniques such as “entering a trance” to achieve an unconscious state, allowing the soul to leave the body and engage in outdoor activities. What is the First Thing Noticed After Death?
Generally, when a person “dies,” their “self” first notices their “body.” To be precise, at this point, they are no longer human but truly their authentic self – the soul.
Whether your death is natural or accidental, from illness, suicide, or homicide… “you don’t see your body first,” Erik says, “but you feel it. It’s strange, how the pain is gone. Sometimes you don’t realize it immediately, until, let’s say, several days or even weeks (Earth time) later… No more hunger or thirst, you no longer feel too cold or too hot. Some souls perceive this right away, while others realize it after a few days. Huh, I have no pain at all!”
And then? Erik continues, “Furthermore, you will feel yourself expanding and becoming lighter. It’s as if you’re no longer confined to a narrow space; you can enter any space. Another thing you immediately notice is that when you think of something – when you have a thought – you don’t need to get into a car, then travel to a certain place to see it or obtain it. Instead, you’re already there. It’s like when I think of you, I am immediately where you are. When I think of my grandfather living in Norway, I am at my grandfather’s house.”
Will the Soul of a Person Who Has Done Bad Deeds Go to Hell?
Regarding the Soul Contract and the law of karma, if a person’s mind is often filled with darkness during their lifetime, they will enter a space called Limbo after death. This space is a self-created dark world or so-called “hell,” where they will suffer until they find the light or seek help from “higher beings.” Hell and heaven are both realities created by our own consciousness, both real and unreal. A detailed discussion on the Soul Contract and the law of karma will be covered in the chapters related to “Soul Contract“, the “Law of Karma” and “Multiverse“. Learn more…>
“Life Review” Helps Understand the Self, and “Judgment” Doesn’t Exist!
Every soul goes through a scene called “Life Review“, which is like “life flashing before your eyes,” as Erik describes it. “It’s similar to an out-of-body or near-death experience, where you observe yourself from a different perspective. But it’s not entirely accurate. In fact, you watch your ‘Life Review’ with full vision, not only experiencing your own feelings but also having the full experience of the people involved and even others,” says Erik. In Erik’s words, “Yeah, because it’s a big-ass event. Like, ‘Wow! Holy crap! Look at what just happened! My life flashed before me, and now I know who I wanted to be, who I want to be. I better go back and change my life.’ When I act in a certain way or do certain things, I feel the feelings of the people in my life. So, you feel overwhelming joy, sadness, and regret, but you only know who you are from other people’s perspectives! You experience it from external sources.”
Erik adds with a laugh, “…but in the Life Review, you see it; you experience it, you feel it, and you judge yourself. No One can judge you except yourself. Do you think there’s someone sitting on a throne of gold and diamonds, pointing a stick at your heart and telling you to do twenty push-ups?”
Who Controls the Departure or Stay of the Soul? How Does the Soul Elevate Itself in the Afterlife?
Whether the soul needs Reincarnation depends on the entity’s free will and karmic conditions. After experiencing a “Life Review,” each soul usually engages in relevant therapies and further studies based on its unique experiences, learnings, or traumas. Most souls choose to reincarnate to continue unfinished “lessons” because the physical world allows for a faster and more efficient learning process for certain soul experiences. However, some entities may decide to stay, considering it more suitable for their self-improvement. Further discussions on Soul Contract and the law of karma will be provided in the chapter on “Soul Contract“. Learn more…>
In essence, anything that humans can experience can be experienced here. For example, you can nurture children or experience pregnancy, among other things. Many souls enjoy these experiences in this realm.
How Does the Soul Manifest in a Certain Form?
Now, I can create any form I desire, whether solid or not. I can appear to be any age, wear any attire, or become a beam of light or a glowing sphere. I can choose to appear translucent or as real as can be. It is entirely up to me, and it usually depends on whom I am with, whether it is my friends here in this realm or someone on Earth.
Can Thoughts Truly Create Reality?
“Yes, it’s truly amazing!” Erik exclaimed. “You can create anything, just as humans can build their own houses and construct their own cars. We have the same ability here, but in a completely different way: easier and faster.”
The Existence of the Body and the Purpose of Being Slive?
I had no interest in philosophy and Metaphysics in the past. Philosophy had too many questions, and Metaphysics seemed far-fetched. During my childhood, I was most interested in romantic novels, and even the classical version of Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio couldn’t stop me from yearning for love. Now, I finally understand that only the pure energy of “love” can touch the strings of a pure heart. After rediscovering my childlike innocence and continuously seeking the relationship and traces of love and truth, I finally found the key to unlocking the door of wisdom. Learn more…>
In the Book of Changes, Xi Ci (系辭), says: “What is beyond the physical form is called Tao, and physical forms are called utensils“. Metaphysics is a philosophical concept that explores the “origin” and studies the attributes and inner essence hidden behind forms. In the realm of time/space or the cosmic (higher Density) realm, everything is energy. On the other hand, the physical world or the material world is the manifestation of what we can see with our naked eyes, such as matter, tangible things, or life. However, even matter/life is a form of energy/essence. The purpose of Metaphysics is to explore the nature of things, while physics is limited to the physical phenomena of things. Learn more…>
The Buddha said, “All phenomena are illusory. When you see that all phenomena are non-phenomena, you see the Tathagata“. In my understanding, perceiving through the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body is an illusion, the mundane truth. If One understands that everything in the universe is energy, in the high-Density realm of time/space, everything is formless. Only through “consciousness of the heart” can One connect with the universe – this is the cosmic view, the true truth.
Philosophy, like the mind, can be influenced by either the left brain or the left hemisphere if a person’s mind is not balanced. Their thoughts or mind will either lean toward “body consciousness” or towards “heart consciousness.” Although there is only One word of difference between them, their meanings are worlds apart. For readers who have not yet read the discussion on the distinction between “thought, mind, and spiritual consciousness,” please click on “The essence of human Beings” to learn more…>
Philosophy, like the mind, when it opens the heart chakra, is no longer confined by “body-conscious” thinking and can connect with the spiritual complex. The spirit is like a channel, which I call “divine consciousness.” Various super-intelligent energies from planets and individuals flow through this channel and gather at the root of consciousness. By balancing the super-intelligent energy of the body and mind, consciousness can be focused and permeate through the gateway of infinite intelligence. If the focus is placed on reality and science, the thinking is constrained by three-dimensional vision, which is the constraint of “body-conscious” thinking. I am not criticizing or belittling modern science here because human-natural science only started to develop in the 15th and 16th centuries. It has a history of only a few hundred years. Compared to the infinite universe, you can imagine that although human science is progressing rapidly, in fact, our science is still very young. Therefore, not only do we know very little about the universe, but we also know very little about ourselves. This reminds me of a profound sentence I received during meditation: “Science is from bottom-up exploration and discovery; the truth is from top-down revelation and enlightenment“. Humanity has a long way to go in understanding the universe. Before our collective consciousness can reach the level of “unveiling,” not to mention exploring other galaxies beyond the Milky Way, even exploring other planets in our solar system is a question. This is the mystery of creation and the Creator. Learn more…
The author had another realization during a recent meditation: “The purpose of philosophy is to pose and contemplate questions, and only Metaphysics can provide the ultimate answers to those questions“. The reason is simple: philosophy is based on discussions within three-dimensional space (the part beyond belongs to Metaphysics). Therefore, the author believes that philosophy mostly observes things from a 3D visual perspective, while Metaphysics represents true multidimensional or holistic vision, the vision of ether or God, to observe things. This explains why many philosophical viewpoints are still debated to this day. The aforementioned differences between Plato and Aristotle regarding the soul and the meaning of life are the best examples.
When discussing Plato and Aristotle’s views on the soul, the former focuses on the “body,” while the latter focuses on “being alive.” This does not mean that Plato does not understand the nature of the body and soul. On the contrary, the author believes that the wisdom of Western philosophical pioneers such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle has transcended the realm of philosophy. One can glimpse this from Plato’s dialogue “Apology,” written in memory of his teacher. By the way, when you read the book “Apology,” have you noticed the striking similarities between the so-called elites of that time and the elites of our modern society? Although Socrates’ death indeed awakened people’s thinking about philosophy and wisdom, what else has science brought besides convenience? How should it develop? What is the purpose of being alive? These questions have been discussed in the HUAXINSI article “Consciousness”. The author will delve deeper into these discussions in future blog posts, but that will be discussed later.
Astute readers will surely be able to answer the question of the essence of the soul as the “self,” and likewise, the essence of the self is the soul. However, have you noticed what the biggest problem in our current human society is? It is believed that many readers would promptly answer: the majority of us focus solely on pursuing material pleasures while neglecting our spiritual lives. Isn’t this exactly the primary-secondary relationship that the author continuously emphasizes between Metaphysics and the physical, and between the soul and the body? When the relationship between the soul and the body is not properly balanced, it leads to the greatest problem our human society faces today—how to balance the relationship between the spiritual and the material!
The author’s next question reiterates the opening question of this article: “The existence of the body” and “the purpose of being alive“? In Plato’s view, the body corrupts the soul and causes us to fall from a state of perfection. Aristotle, on the other hand, believes that the existence of the body is for the soul to realize itself. So, as readers, what are your thoughts on this?
The author sincerely hopes that readers will keep in mind the famous quote from the Archangel Erik Medhus: “We are all souls experiencing the journey of life…”
